Notebook giving a detailed description of the altars of a number of churches in Kent, specifically: Ashurst, Bradsole Abbey, Canterbury, Cobham, Higham, Hougham, Langdon Abbey, Lenham, Lesnes Abbey, Maidstone, Margate, Newington, Old Romney, Sandwich, Sittingbourne, Southfleet, Stone, Upchurch, Wouldham and Wrotham. There are some sketches with dimensions and some photographs showing the site and carved embellishments of some of the altars, along with some rubbings on engravings.
