Hardback notebook containing histories and descriptions of pre-reformation church altars at the following locations: Addenbury, Arundel, Ashton Philips, Asthall, Bardney Abbey, East Barsham, Bedale, Belper, Bengeworth, Beoley, Binham Priory, Blackstone Hermitage, Blore, Bloxham, Bosherton, Brabourne, Brandon Chapel, Brecon, Bridgnorth, Brockdish, Broughton Castle, Burford (Oxfordshire) & Burford (Shropshire). There are rubbings and tracings for most entries. While the information deals predominately with the altars at these sites there are also extensive photographs, drawings and copies of engravings detailing other architectural or unusual features at these sites including the cadaver tomb, amongst others, at Arundel and photographs of the partially buried altars at the ruins of Bardney Abbey.
