Envelopes arranged alphabetically by town within Yorkshire containing research notes and histories on altars, including sketches, and drawings with dimensions given in some examples, tracings, floor plans, rubbings, prints, photographs, correspondence and postcards. There are a number of church guidebooks included with these folders, some published by H.M. Office of Works: Dept. of Ancient Monuments and Historic Buildings, for sites including; St. Oswald's Church in Filey, Kirkham Abbey, Jervaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Easby Abbey and St. Michael the Archangel in Kirkby.
