Scope and content
Envelopes arranged alphabetically by town within Sussex containing research notes on altars and their histories, as well as other architectural elements of the churches, including floor plans, correspondence, sketches, with dimensions given, photographs and tracings. There are also some notes on consecration crosses, monumental inscriptions, a thorough history of the church and tombs in Arundel and Winchelsea and a guidebook for Boxgrove Priory. There is a permit issued by the Fitzalan-Howard estate permitting an inspection of the altars in the Fitzalan Chapel in 1936.
