Envelopes arranged alphabetically by town within Middlesex/London, containing research notes and histories on pre-reformation church altars, including correspondence, sketches, with dimensions given for some examples, tracings and floor plans. There is a printed booklet entitled ' A Short History of the Parish Church of St. Andrew, Holborn and a printed history of The Dutch Church in Austin Friars along with a photograph of the portable altar stone found at St. Pancras Old Church and an inventory of goods for this church dated 1251, 1297 & 1549. There are also printed booklets entitled 'The Chapel of King Henry VII and its High Altar and 'Chapter House and Pyx Chambers', both relating to Westminster Abbey.
