Scope and content
Envelopes arranged alphabetically by town within Gloucestershire containing research notes and histories of altars, including correspondence, sketches, with dimensions given for some examples, drawings, rubbings, tracings, photographs, floor plans, newspaper clippings and postcards. There are also some notes on Rood Lofts and Rood Screens for a number of the sites. There is also a significant amount on the early altars of Gloucester Abbey and Tewkesbury Cathedral, with sections divided up by chapel for both.
