Hardback notebook containing typed notes, correspondence and quotations relating to surviving pre-reformation church altars, as well as other church architectural features. They all refer to British sites, are arranged alphabetically by location and full references are given for each entry. There is also a tracing of a reredos from Glastonbury Abbey and some handwritten annotations inserted on loose sheets.
