Notebook containing handwritten quotations and references relating to historic churches and describing suspected pre-reformation altars and their locations in some instances. The information varies from short notes on the subject to full descriptions of the whole building, depending on location, which are not arranged in any particular order. They include churches in Dover Keep and Thornton Abbey as well as the 'Minnis Rock Hermitage' in Hastings, and full bibliographic notes are included.
