Scope and content
Hardback notebook containing newspaper clippings and typed notes relating to altars dating from between 1906-1932. They relate to descriptions of altars in situ and ongoing restoration works, discussions of historical usage, including the possibility of requiring relics to be incorporated into the original altar piece themselves and a number of articles and letters in relation to the discovery of a skeleton, suggested to be St. Patrick, found at St. David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire. Almost all notes relate to churches within England and Wales.
