Note by Hartshorne: 'In Cologne Cath[edral.] A very curious man in armour. Gottfried Graf von Arensberg 1370. Hefner V.II. P.85', with drawing of helmet, titled 'Bascinet of latter part of 14th century. Hefner P.72. V.II.', and further note 'I had this bascinet in my hand in June 27 1893 when I called on Mr Hefner in Munich.'
