Handwritten white label – K. 1505 Lincoln Cath. Two printed labels Lincoln Cathedral and Cap., Cloisters. A detail of a carved capital in the cloisters. The carving has a central face which is mixture of man (brow, eyes, eyebrows and nose) and a feline (ears and jaw which has marks as if for whiskers or perhaps stubble). The capital is carved with sprouting naturalistic intertwined greenery which is possibly hawthorn.
