Scope and content
Holy Rood, Daglinworth, Gloucestershire. From the chancel with chancel arch and three Anglo Saxon sculptures; beyond is the nave and north aisle. The slide is reversed.
As can be seen the three Anglo Saxon sculptures were originally set in the chancel arch. The church website (https://www.daglingworth.org.uk/church/) states ‘According to Charles Keyser, when these three sculptures were first discovered, they were set over the chancel arch, and it must be assumed they were moved to their present position when the organ was installed in 1918’.
