All Saints, Lathbury, Buckinghamshire. It seems the current gabled south porch is probably C19, associated with the major restoration of 1869.
According to the UK Genealogy Archives, adjacent to the steps to the rood-loft is a stone slab which was probably originally the Tympanum of the Norman porch or another door. It is suggested that the subject is the Tree of Spiritual Life and Knowledge. Carved in relief, it depicts a serpent-like creature with two other animals.
