Includes very brief notes, in the main, on the Saxon aspects of churches of the following places: Exeter and Sidbury (Devon); Eaton Bishop and Hatfield (Hereford); Bolton, Halton, Heysham, Lancaster, Whalley and Winwick (Lancs); Altheney, Cranmore, Glastonbury and Milborne Port (Somerset); Lichfield (Staffs); Wootton Wawen (Warwick); Morland (Westmoreland); Fredington, Wye Piddle and Worcester Cathedral (Worcester). There are also three sketches, one of the Saxon Cathedral at Exeter and two of the crypt at Sidbury with measurements (all Devon).
