Single bound volume of handwritten notes relating to the monumental brasses of Lancashire, Cheshire and Lincolnshire.
Lancashire and Cheshire are described by the author as supplementary to J L Thorneley’s “The Monumental Brasses of Lancashire and Cheshire” with the list of Brasses taken from Mill Stephenson’s “A List of Monumental Brasses of the British Isles”. Includes separately adhered drawings, rubbings and printed plates. Generally includes a description of the brass, its location, size and inscription.
Separate preface, index and notes for Lincolnshire. Mill Stephenson’s List taken as a basis with notes also from other sources. Arranged in alphabetical order of place names with index and numbered pages. Hand written notes with separately adhered drawings, rubbings, printed plates and articles. Includes an Article on Sir Andrew Luttrell, Irnham Church from the Cambridge Camden Society’s Volume on Brasses and a separately hand drawn pedigree of the Luttrell family.
