Single bound volume of handwritten notes relating to monumental brasses in the County of Durham, arranged in alphabetical order of place names, with short preface and index with numbered pages. Includes notes on existing and lost brasses (with description of the brass, its location, size and inscription) and some separately adhered drawings and printed plates. Most drawings are hand drawn and signed by the author. Includes hand drawn pedigree of Bishop Beaumont (Durham Cathedral). Handwritten loose leaf note dated 25.3.81 regarding location of The Pegg/Brackenbury Brass.
