Single bound volume of handwritten notes relating to the monumental brasses of Bedfordshire arranged in alphabetical order of place names, with short preface and index with numbered pages. Generally includes a description of the brass, its location, size and inscription. Information based on a series of papers by H H St John Sanderson and Mill Stephenson’s “A List of the Monumental Brasses of the British Isles” and other sources including the author’s notes. Includes descriptions of the arms of the families included in this volume. Also separately adhered drawings, printed plates and hand-drawn pedigrees of certain families.
