The collection contains prints, articles, floor plans, maps, portraiture, newspaper clippings, watercolours and sketches. They detail landscapes, churches and historic buildings, architectural features, memorial monuments, notable locals, including Elizabeth Cromwell, bronze age excavations, armorial bearings and stained glass windows. Also includes a pamphlet on 'Mrs. Horlock's Holiday Homes Southend-On-Sea' - the first coastal site created for London-based factory workers to stay on health grounds.
