Folder containing various media types relating to the following locations: Shenfield, Shoebury, Shopland, Sible Hedingham, South Benfleet, Southchurch, Southend, South Fambridge, Southminster, South Ockenden, South Shoebury, South Weald, Springfield, Great Stambridge, Little Stambridge, Stanford-Le-Hope, Stanford Rivers, Stansted Mountfitchet, Stanway, Stapleford Abbotts, Stapleford Tawney, Stebbing, Steeple, Steeple Bumpstead and Stifford. The collection contains prints, articles, floor plans, maps, portraiture, newspaper clippings, watercolours and sketches. They detail landscapes, churches and historic buildings, architectural features, memorial monuments, notable locals, including Elizabeth Cromwell, bronze age excavations, armorial bearings and stained glass windows. Also includes a pamphlet on 'Mrs. Horlock's Holiday Homes Southend-On-Sea' - the first coastal site created for London-based factory workers to stay on health grounds. All items are mounted on sheets of cardstock.
