Folder containing various types of media relating to the following locations: Burnham-on-Crouch, Great Burstead, Little Burstead, Buttasbury, Canensdown, Great Canfield, Canning Town, Canvey Island, Castle Hedingham, Chadwell and Chelmsford. The collection includes a large selection of photographs, watercolours, postcards, maps, including building plot maps, floor plans, newspaper clippings, pencil sketches, prints of engravings, including portraiture, and printed articles. They detail landscapes, including ports and beaches, historic buildings, churches, memorial monuments, Roman remains and castle architectural features. Also includes excerpts from a cycling magazine published in 1898, an engraving of an execution carried out in 1829 and newspaper coverage of the Chelmsford agricultural show from 1856. All items are mounted on sheets of cardstock.
