Scope and content
Pencil drawings of seals by John Coney (1786-1833) from originals in the possession of John Caley, FSA, and in the Augmentation Office, British Museum, etc.; early 19th century. Cuttings mounted on pale blue paper. Mostly reproduced in the 1817-30 edition of the Monasticon Anglicanum (note, fol. iii). Pencil note referring to a further collection, 'Vol II is still to bind. It contains 64 drawings'. fol. iii. Index by Mill Stephenson, FSA, fols. iv,v.
