The following Fellow was admitted to the Society: John Ash
Rev. Dr. Lort, Vice President, exhibits a curious small Shrine. This was compared to another shrine exhibited by Dr Stukeley to the Society in 1748.
Read a letter from Daines Barrington mentioning a copper penny previously presented to the society from the Paris Mountain Company on 15-2-1787, and in which he presents a copper halfpenny circulated in Wrexham from an Iron Foundry near that town with the head of John Wilkinson, Master of that Foundry, as well as a Spanish pack of cards.
The Directors of the East India Company presented a fragment of an ancient Roman tessellated pavement discovered while digging the foundations for a warehouse in Crutched Friars, accompanied by a letter from Mr. Morton their Secretary.
