John Cayley undertakes Mr Brand’s duty in his absence.
Treasurer declared vacant on the death of Edward Bridgen. John Topham recommended to fill the vacancy.
Trustees of the British Museum presented to the Society Catalogus Liborum impressorum Museo Britannica 2 vols.
Also presented were Sumbola ad Literaturam Teutonicam antiquioriem and Eyrbniggia Saga sive Eyanoum Historia, both from Peter Frederick Suhm, Lord Chamberlain to the King of Denmark.
The Hectopades of Veeshnes Sarma presented, with notes by Charles Wilkins.
John Nichols presented both The History and Antiquities of Aston Flanmville & Burbaih and the Works of Leonard Welsted, with notes by him.
Transactions of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts Manufacturers and Commerce presented from that society.
Benjamin Smith Burton gave observations on some part of Natural History with vestiges of an ancient date discovered in North America.
Mr Petham presented a map of the county of Clare.
Read a letter from Rev. Samuel Pegge about a block of Roman lead discovered on Matlock Moor.
