Letter to CT Ramage from Thomas Spring Rice, 1st Baron Monteagle of Brandon. Expressing thanks for the proof that he has not forgotten that family in which he had passed so many years. Relates news of his son Stephen (recovering at Mount Trenchard from the attack on his chest) and the education of 2 of Stephen's 10 children - Tom and Frank - with the former headed to Harrow and the latter having fixed his choice on the Navy. Also shares news of his son Charles (a "most distinguished officer in the Foreign office") Aubrey, William and Edmund, as well as Theodisia.
