Scope and content
Defeasance by John de Beumont (Beaumont), Lord of 'Ffolkyngham' (Folkingham), to Thomas Charlton, John Shordych, Geoffrey Martyn and John Hervy concerning payment of an annual rent. Whereas John de Beaumont has been enfeoffed of the manors of Little Greenford and Edmonton by John Lovel and John Wytham for 4 years at an annual rent of £20, and has enfeoffed the manor of Little Greenford to Thomas and John Hervy and others, Beaumont grants Charlton, Shordych, Martyn and Hervy a rent of 17 marks with the power of distress from his lands in Edmonton in case of non payment of the £20 annual rent due to Lovel and Wytham. If the conditions are met then the deed is void. Dated. 3 seals (of 4) on seal tags. Poor impressions.
