Lease for 7 years by Margery Hickes, late wife and administratrix of William Hickes, to William Bowman, citizen and vintner of London, of the shop towards Fleet Street, late in the occupation of John Maynard and part in the occupation of Thomas Dring, bookseller, and messuage belonging to it once called The George, now called The Fountain Tavern, in the occupation of Margery Hickes, near the sign of the Bull Head, Fleet Street. Includes schedule of goods and household stuffs. Mark of Margery Hickes and wax on seal tag. With counterpart (05) with signature of William Bowman and seal on seal tag. Counterpart endorsed with memorandum of assignment of lease by Bowman to Thomas Dring, stationer of London, 8 Mar. 1648/49.
