ff.xxiii + 87 (i.e. fols. 5-91 of the original foliation). Oblong folio. Half leather binding, brown, with marbled boards. Blue label on the front cover, fol. i, inscribed 'Heraldry MSS Vol. No. 10 contains 522 Arms of Nobility and Gentry'. Bookplate of Thomas Irwin Ganly, fol. 87v. Several rough notes, eg. fol. 14, 'Baught of William Roberts'. 'HIA(?) No. 11 4/7/51', in red, and pencilled dealers' marks, fol. ii.
Scope and content
Collection of arms of Irish families. Entered in trick, in engraved outlines, six shields per page. Crests included. Names of families written in rough capitals beneath the shields. In poor condition lacking the first four folios of the original collection. Index, 18th century, fols. iv-xxiii.
