Nichols, Literary Anecdotes, VI (1812), 319) are laid down to form headings for copious notes by Grose (fols. 4-62) Preceding and following the main text are general notes on churches (fols. 1v-3v, 62v-80v), some derived from Blomefield's Norfolk.
